John Gunderman

Executive at Large

A native of Horseheads, New York, John received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Georgia Southwestern College, Americus, Georgia.

John’s employment history spans both private and public sector organizations, including serving as the Chief Operating Officer for a major health insurance carrier and a senior official for two public entities in the Greater Toronto Area. He has served on Boards of Directors for both private and public organizations, including Board Chair of Ontario’s municipal insurance exchange. Now retired, John has three adult daughters and a grandson and resides in Ontario with his Canadian wife, Gisele.

Like many others, John was a democrat through his early adult life but in the 1980’s was greatly inspired by the leadership and vision of President Ronald Reagan. Since that time, John has been an active supporter of Republican Party principles. John’s volunteer work with Republicans Abroad Canada is motivated by his desire to help build upon the existing strengths and effectiveness of the Republican Party and to assist in promoting absentee voting in General, Mid-term and Gubernatorial elections by Americans residing in Canada.
